Gracious God, I come before You just as I am and I ask for Your protection upon my life. Father, Your word tells that You are my light and my salvation for whom shall I fear? You are the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh and when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Even when an army besieges me, my heart will not fear, and when war breaks out against me, even then will I be confident. One thing I ask of You Lord; and that is what I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon Your beauty and to seek You in Your temple. For in the day of trouble I know You will keep me safe in Your dwelling. You will hide me in the shelter of Your tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then will my head be exalted above the enemies who surround me. At Your tabernacle, will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to You, Lord.

Father, hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. Help me to seek Your face with my heart. Do not hide Your face from me, Father. Do not turn me away in anger for You have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. Though my father and mother may forsake me, I know You, Lord, will receive me. I ask that You teach me Your ways, O Lord; lead me on a straight path because of my enemies. Father, do not turn me over to the desire of my foes for false witnesses to rise up against me breathing out violence.

I am still confident of this, that I will continue to see the goodness of You in my life. I will be strong and take heart to wait upon You. I thank You, Father, for an answered prayer in Jesus’ name I have prayed, Amen.”
